What you need to know before flying to Malta
If you are reading this, it means that you will be soon with us in sunny Malta. Welcome! We really wish to provide you only with the best possible experience and leave you with the great memories. That is why we prepared a complex Info Pack below that includes essential information about your upcoming Fitness & Yoga Holiday on our little rocky Island. Read it carefully and if you still have more questions, just give us a shout via e-mail or phone call. Save our phone numbers: +356 77 13 63 80 (Iza) and +356 99 99 01 90 (Marta), as we will be your emergency contacts while you are in Malta.
LIABILITY WAIVER & COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT / I.D
In order to start your training programme, Fitness4Malta Liability Waiver needs to be signed and sent back together with a scan of your passport or identification document (I.D.) prior your arrival in Malta. To download a PDF Waiver of Liability click: HERE.
We are sure you will still have plenty of questions! That is great, just ask us during your Info Meeting or anytime during your stay in Malta. Once you arrive on the Island, you will meet a Fitness4Malta representative and Antonio or Michele at the Freemyme Training Centre to receive further instructions. For exact date and timing, check your email.
YOUR PERSONALISED TRAINING PROGRAMME
We offer you a fitness holiday, not a boot camp. It means you are free to train what you want and when you want. Having said that, we do not know your workout expectations and we cannot guess. That is why we advise you to plan your training programme during your Intro Meeting with Antonio or Michelle. Ask them for help with choosing the best classes for your needs. Remember, we offer several classes daily, suitable for different fitness levels. Do not waste your time or risk an injury with training sessions that might be too intense or too slow for your needs. Ask trainers for recommendations!
INJURIES AND HEALTH ISSUES
It is extremely important that you notify your trainer before every class about any health issues or injuries you might have. The first rule, stay safe!
SIGN UP FOR YOUR FITNESS/YOGA SESSIONS
Before you come to Malta, we will open your online training account. All you need to do is to download our free application. Please login to your Freemyme account: HERE and fill in details as indicated below.

IMPORTANT: After downloading the Freemyme app or when logging in on the website for the first time, the system might ask you to fill out your data and change your password. Please click on the button allowing you to continue using the same password: Fitness4malta! .
Your training account will be activated during your Intro Meeting and after arrival in Malta, therefore you will not be able to register for any classes before.
To make it easier for you, we have divided all classes into several categories and intensity levels. Description of each class you can find on our website under the tab "Classes". You are allowed to choose up to 14 classes weekly. Although you can participate in up to 3 classes each day, would strongly advise you NOT to book more than 1-2 classes daily, daily, as to avoid overtraining and injuries. Also, for your convenience, please note that all early morning classes and evening classes are usually very busy since locals also attending our popular training centre. Try to book in advance, if you are an early bird! Do not worry, if the class is fully booked. We run several similar classes during the day. Just choose another one.
Please choose your classes carefully. Once you booked your workouts or sessions, you can still cancel a class or make adjustments, up to 12 hours before the beginning of each class. Download now your free mobile app called Freemyme and log in with your email address and Fitness4Malta password from any Android/iPhone app store.
Your pickup/drop-off time and driver were specified in the e-mail you have just received. Please make sure your arrival/departure details are correct.
Our driver (mobile: 00 356 99 47 64 75) will be waiting for you inside the arrivals terminal holding a sign with Fitness4Malta or your name on it.
Our driver will be waiting for you outside your hotel 2.5-hours prior to departure of your flight with "Franklin Garage" logo on his shirt. Time is confirmed in the Info Pack e-mail we have just sent you. In case you do not see the driver, just ask at the reception. In case on an emergency call: 00 356 99 47 64 75.
Walking around Malta - Google Maps
Plaza Regency Hotel 3*
Our Freemyme Training Centre is located around 15 minutes walking distance from Plaza Regency Hotel. You can choose a shorter route (ca. 15 mins) through the city streets or a longer route (ca. 20 min.) using a scenic road straight along the seaside promenade, Triq-it-Torri.
Preluna Hotel & SPA 4*
Hotel Preluna is situated only 350 metres from the Training Centre. To get to Freemyme, turn right from the hotel, do not cross the street and follow the road until you will see the iMac store. Turn left where you will see a glass door with Freemyme logo on top.
1926 Hotel & SPA 4*
1926 Hotel & SPA is situated only 5 minutes by walk from the Training Centre. To get to Freemyme, turn right from the hotel and go up the street. On top of the little hill turn right and continue straight. When you see the main square with the NEXT store in front of you, turn left just before the iCentre store. You will see a glass door with Freemyne logo on top.

COVID-19 - INFORMATION
Everyday life in Malta is quickly returning to what it used to be before the pandemic. Establishments like restaurants, shops, museums and fitness studios are open. Clubs, bars and discos are not operating. There are no restrictions regarding walking the streets, sightseeing, meeting people. Wearing face masks is required in public spaces.
LIFE IN OUR TRAINING CENTRE

Beware of the white taxis. They are a rip-off and usually an unpleasant experience. Instead, download a free application called BOLT. It works just like UBER but you can also pay in cash.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT - ROUTES AND TIMETABLE
Check your routes in advance and arrive at the bus stop a few minutes before scheduled departure, as buses in Malta are barely on time. We blame the traffic or occasionally... lack of it: PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN MALTA.
SLIEMA - VALLETTA - 3 CITIES FERRY
The best and most convenient way to visit Valletta (the capital city) and 3 Cities (Birgu, Isla, Bormla) is to go there by ferry. The deprarture point is from the Centre of Sliema, in front of the Zara shop. Check the SCHEDULE and rates.
ATM IN MALTA
ATMs are widespread. Credit cards are used in larger hotels and upmarket restaurants, but it is possible that smaller hotels and restaurants only accept cash - be prepared!
PHARMACIES AND HEALTH CARE
If you want to visit a doctor you can make an appointment in a pharmacy (around 15-20 EUR) or go to the national hospital Mater Dei. EU Citizens receive free or reduced cost state-provided health care with the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). In case of emergency, you should contact Mater Dei Hospital in Msida, phone number: +356 2545 0000.

WMost of the Tours and excursions can be bought directly at the Sliema Ferry road but here is our tip. Many of them can be bought at the discounted price directly from websites like DEALTODAY. Why overpay?
MEALS DURING YOUR STAY
The number and form of meals is consistent with the accommodation you choose. If you need tips on how to find the restaurant / bar / cafe that is right for you, we recommend using the TRIPADVISOR application. Guest ratings and comments are sure to be helpful.
